Government Sets Clear Sugar Prices, Warns of Consequences for Violation

The Ministry of Industries and Production announced that the government has established clear guidelines for sugar prices in the market.

The retail price is set at Rs. 164 per kilogram, with the ex-mill price at Rs. 159 per kilogram or lower. Reports from provincial governments show that the average retail price in Sindh is Rs. 168 per kilogram and in Punjab, it aligns with the government-set price.

The Ministry calls on all stakeholders in the sugar trade to be informed about these official prices and to report any discrepancies.

Authorities emphasize a commitment to taking swift action against those violating these price guidelines. For reporting violations or seeking further information, consumers and vendors are encouraged to contact the Ministry or local regulatory bodies.
