KARACHI: The gold prices Monday saw a big decrease in Pakistani markets as the Pakistan rupee showed a spine against the US dollar in the inter-bank trading.
According to the All Pakistan jewellers Association, the price of 24-Karat gold reached Rs1,97,600 per tola after seeing a decrease of Rs800 per tola.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-Karat gold reached Rs1,69,410 after seeing a decrease of Rs686. The price of 10 grams of 22-Karat gold, used in making the jewellery, reached Rs1,55,293.
In the international market, the price of one ounce of gold prices also decreased by US$5 and was being traded for $1,860.
The prices of silver in the country also saw a decrease as the 24-Karat silver was being traded for Rs2130 per tola and Rs1826.13 per 10 grams after seeing a decrease of Rs30 per tola and Rs25.72 per tola.
