Gold price sees decline after dollar’s devaluation against Pak rupee

KARACHI:The price of gold witnessed a drop in Pakistan after the depreciation of the dollar value against the Pak rupee on Thursday.

According to a report, the price of 24-karat of pure gold declined by Rs500 per tola to reach Rs2,17,500 per tola in the Pakistani yellow metal bazaar.

The All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) shows the price of 10 grams of 24 Karats gold dropped by Rs429 to settle at Rs1,86,471 per 10-gram.

The price of 10 grams of 22 karats of gold also dropped and settled at Rs1,70,932 per 10 grams.

In the international market, the commodity price decreased by US$18 to reach $2,027 per ounce.

Meanwhile, 24 karat silver prices in the domestic market increased by Rs30 per tola to Rs2,550 per tola and the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs25.71 to Rs2186.21 per 10 grams.
