Islamabad:Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has called for sustainable pathways to help people escape poverty permanently through dignity, opportunity, and economic independence.

According to Radio Pakistan, while addressing a conference in Islamabad, Gilani highlighted the crucial role of women in economic development and stressed the importance of converting policy commitments into tangible outcomes.

He also praised the efforts of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, recognizing its significant contribution to reducing poverty across the country.
