GHA members continue OPDs boycott

LARKANA: On the call of the Grand Health Alliance, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff of Chandka Medical College Hospital and lady health workers boycotted the four OPDs of the largest government hospital and took out a protest rally for the recognition of their demands of risk allowance and others here on Saturday.

They also raised slogans with banners and organizational flags in their hands. On that occasion Shahi Khan Jagirani, who led the protest, Aziz Brohi, Zulfiqar Sahto, Imdad Samoro and others told journalists that we have been protesting continuously for three weeks to get our rights, but Sindh government and health department officials are neither serious with them nor with the poor patients which is completely unfair.

They further said that we are forced to protest for health risk allowance and other benefits but the same are being constantly denied to them. They said that we will widen the circle of our protest if their just demands are not quickly accepted. On the other hand, due to the boycott, the poverty-ridden patients who came for treatment from distant areas went home without getting medical treatment.
