Nankana Sahib:German Ambassador Alfred Grannas visited Nankana Sahib, officials said Monday.

On reaching Nankana Sahib, the German Ambassador was given a warm welcome. The envoy paid a visit to historic and religious places including the birthplace of Guru Nanak.

The Sikh leaders and Gurdwara administration briefed the German ambassador about the history and teachings of Baba Guru Nanak.

The German Ambassador appreciated the government’s initiatives to preserve the historical place and provide the Sikhs with facilities to perform their rituals freely.

Earlier, he visited the historic educational institution Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School and the principal briefed him about the history of the institute. He took a tour of the Guru Nanak Educational Museum built in the school.
