GDA Secretary General’s Public Response to PPP’s Protest Call

The Secretary General of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Dr. Safdar Ali Abbasi, stated that the people of Sindh have rejected the protest call by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) regarding the canals issue.

From Karachi to Kashmore, the public refrained from taking to the streets, which Dr. Safdar described as a clear vote of no confidence against the PPP.

In his statement issued here today, Dr. Safdar Ali Abbasi said that the PPP should recognize the hatred and anger of the people of Sindh. He advised the PPP that there is still time to part ways with the federal government in the interest of Sindh.

Furthermore, Dr. Safdar mentioned that the people of Sindh are well-aware and can clearly differentiate between traitors and patriotic politicians. He also highlighted public awareness regarding the deal on the Indus River water and questioned why PPP’s success in the general elections was only possible under Form 47.

Dr. Safdar clarified that by not participating in the PPP’s protest, the people of Sindh have expressed their disdain and distrust.
