Consumers can anticipate a slight decrease in petroleum product costs starting September 1st, sources revealed on Saturday. Estimates suggest petrol could see a reduction of Rs 0.61 per liter, while high-speed diesel may experience a more substantial drop of Rs 3.13 per liter.

Kerosene oil is projected to decrease by Rs 1.57 per liter, and light diesel oil by Rs 2.61 per liter. The Ministry of Finance will make an official announcement following discussions with the Prime Minister.
