Four more persons were kidnapped by bandits within the jurisdiction of Rustam police station on Wednesday.
According to a report, a gang of armed men intercepted a wagon going to Rustam from Sukkur, deprived the passengers of their mobile phones, cash and other valuables and took away four of passengers on bikes to an unknown destination at gunpoint.
The kidnapped passengers were identified as Muhammad Asif Qureshi, Muhammad Umar Qureshi, Badshah Qureshi and Hasnain Arain, all residents of Rustam town.
Later, the angry passengers, relatives of kidnapped persons and other citizens reached the Rustam police station, held a protest demonstration and raised slogans against police. They demanded immediate release of the kidnapees and looted goods and cash.
