SHIKARPUR: Former General Secretary of District Bar Association Shikarpur and senior advocate Jalaldin Soomro was shot dead within the jurisdiction of New Faujdari Police Station here on Monday.
According to police, the senior advocate Jalaldeen Soomro was gunned down by his brother Athar Ali Soomro in Shikarpur area.
SSP Shikarpur Dr Muhammad Imran Khan while receiving the information about the incident directed ASP City Muhammad Usman Khan to respond to the incident immediately and arrest the involved murderer at earliest.
Later, a big police party, led by ASP City Muhammad Usman Khan, reached the spot, collected the evidence and started the search of the killer.
The cause behind the murder was said to be an ongoing clash between the two brothers over the matter of property, police added.
Further police investigation into the matter was in process. Neither FIR was registered nor arrest could be made till filing of this story.
