Pakistan is looking to Australia for technical assistance to enhance its agriculture, livestock, and high-quality meat export sectors, a formal request made by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif during a farewell meeting with the outgoing Australian High Commissioner.

According to official information today, Ambassador Neil Hawkins paid a valedictory call on the Prime Minister this morning, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic assignment in Pakistan. The Prime Minister congratulated the envoy on the successful completion of his tenure and acknowledged his valuable contributions to bolstering Pakistan-Australia relations.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Sharif underscored Pakistan”s desire for stronger ties with Australia, specifically requesting the High Commissioner’s support in securing Australian expertise for its agricultural industries.

The Prime Minister also touched upon the nation”s economic progress, expressing satisfaction with the deep-rooted structural reforms implemented over the last eighteen months. He affirmed that these measures would persist in the coming months to ensure the consolidation of economic gains.
