Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a meeting with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Islamabad on Monday.
During the meeting, bilateral relations, promotion of bilateral cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, regional and global issues were discussed.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi welcomed the Tajik Foreign Minister, who is visiting Pakistan to participate the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
He said Tajikistan and Pakistan are two fraternal countries whose relations are linked by common geography, history, culture and common faith.
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi also held a meeting with his Tunisian counterpart Othman Jerandi in Islamabad on Monday.
They reviewed all aspects of bilateral cooperation and progress on negotiations to advance the Preferential Trade Agreement between the two countries.
The two Foreign Ministers agreed to continue their military, defense and counter-terrorism cooperation and finalize the relevant agreements and strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi appreciated Tunisia’s role in promoting regional peace and security and its continued support to the Kashmir issue at the United Nations and the OIC.
