A fire gutted the residential houses of four different persons in Bhatyas area of Doda district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours today.
According to a Kashmir Media Service report on Sunday, the gutted houses belonged to Abdul Latief, resident of Bhatyas, Mohammad Asgar, resident of Bhatyas; Mohammad Yaqoob, resident of Tendla, at present Bhatyas, and Bashrat Hussain, resident of Chinyas, at present Bhatyas.
Reports said that there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the fire incident but the blaze had completely destroyed all the things kept in the affected houses.
After coming to know about the fire incident, locals and police personnel swung into action and started dousing the flames but the fire had caused devastation before it was doused. Police have registered a case in this regard and started investigations.
Meanwhile, a fire erupted in the Kralhar area of Baramulla during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, severely damaging a residential house. The fire also caused damage to the roof of a nearby local health centre, adding to the losses.
