Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources of the United States (US) Geoffrey Pyatt in Washington.

During the meeting, the Finance Minister briefed Pyatt on the challenges faced by Pakistan’s energy sector and the comprehensive reforms being introduced by the government.

According to a press release received here on Saturday from Washington DC, the Finance Minister expressed appreciation for the United States’ support regarding Pakistan’s transition to the renewable energy sources.
