QUETTA:,,, Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, has said final shape was being given to the arrangements made for conducting peaceful, fair, transparent and impartial election in the province.

These views were expressed by him while chairing a high level meeting held at Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday to review law and order situation in the province, including in bordering areas of the province, and steps taken for conducting general election in the province.

He said administrative strategy was being finalised for maintaining law and order situation in the province during election, adding that quick response force would be available during election to extend assistance to Balochistan Levies Force and Balochistan Police during performance of election duties. He said that caretaker provincial government was extending cooperation to Election Commission of Pakistan, adding that all available resources were being utilised to conduct fair and transparent election in the province.

Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan apprised the participants of meeting about the visits he had paid to different districts of the province to review arrangements made to conduct election. Meeting was attended, inter alia, by Zahid Saleem, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Government of Balochistan, Home and Tribal Affairs Department and Additional Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, Jawad Dogar.
