Islamabad: Fifty-second death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet Saghar Siddiqui was observed on Sunday. Saghar Siddiqui, whose real name was Muhammad Akhtar, was born in Ambala, British India in 1928. After the partition, he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Lahore.According to Radio Pakistan, Saghar Siddiqui began writing poetry at a very young age. He contributed to the world of Urdu literature by writing Ghazals for films and publishing a literary magazine. Siddiqui's life came to an end in 1974, and he was laid to rest in Lahore.
