LAHORE:FIA on a Wednesday took action at an airport in the country and arrested three passengers travelling en-route to Greece using fake travel documents.

The suspects, identified as Muhammad Zubair, Waheed Akhtar, and Asad Daniyal, had fake visas and were scheduled to depart on flight number EY242.

The FIA officials also arrested the travel agent, Muhammad Dildar, who was assisting the suspects with their travel using the fake documents.

During the arrest of the travel agent, fake travel documents and fake stamps were recovered from him, and his mobile phone was seized as well.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspects had paid 2.5 million rupees each to the agent in exchange for the fake visas and stamps.

The suspects have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore for further legal action, suggesting that human trafficking or related crimes may be involved in this case.
