Federal Minister fined for breaking election rules

CHISHTIAN: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday imposed Rs25,000 fine on Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain for violating poll code.

Reportedly, the district monitoring officer of NA-118 Nankana Sahib issued a notification regarding violation of election code to the minister on Sept 5.

According to the notice, Mr Hussain participated in an election campaign of a candidate in violation of the poll rules on which the monitoring officer imposed a fine to the tune of Rs25,000 on the minister.
