Fair polls is govt’s foremost responsibility: Balochistan home minister

QUETTA: Caretaker Minister for Home Mir Zubair Jamali said on Thursday that it was the foremost responsibility of the caretaker government to conduct fair, free and transparent election.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that the incumbent caretaker provincial government was fulfilling its responsibility to conduct peaceful election, adding all steps were being taken to ensure providing safe environment to candidates and voters during election. Urging people to come out of their homes to cast vote, he said that the election process would pass smoothly.

Separately, Chief Justice Balochistan High Court, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan along his wife cast their votes at Balochistan Boys Scout Polling station, Quetta.

Moreover, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Chief Sectry Balocistan accompanied by Zahid Saleem, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Home and Tribal Affairs Department paid a visit to different polling stations, including Balochistan Boys Scout Association (Male and Female), Tameer-e-Nau College ( Male), Government Girls High School Mission Road (Male).
