LAHORE:A court in Lahore on Friday sent Rabia Sultan, wife of former Punjab governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema, to a four-day judicial remand for identification parade in the arson attack case on Jinnah House on May 9.

The case was heard by Anti-Terrorism Court Admin Judge Abhar Gul Khan. Police requested the court for Rabia’s identification parade which was accepted by the judge who sent former governor’s wife to jail on a four-day judicial remand.

The court ordered police to complete Rabia’s identification parade till June 27. A black cloth was put on the face of the accused when she was brought in the court.

Yesterday, the police arrested Rabia from the ATC premises where she came to meet her husband Umar Sarfaraz Cheema. On her return from the court, Rabia was detained by the police.

Shabnam Jahangir’s physical remand

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Friday handed over PTI leader Shabnam Jahangir to police on a three-day physical remand in connection with attack on Jinnah House and arson cases.

ATC judge Abhar Gul Khan heard the case and heard police’s plea for Shabnam’s physical remand. Shabam was present in the courtroom when the judge announced the decision.

It may be mentioned here that on Thursday the court approved Shabnam’s bail in Gulberg Police Station’s case No 1280.
