The European Union has allocated an additional three million Euros in emergency funding to assist flood-stricken communities in Pakistan, with the support primarily directed towards providing direct cash assistance to families in the severely impacted Punjab region.
According to an official report today, the EU confirmed the new funding is intended to facilitate early recovery efforts for the hardest-hit populations.
This assistance model will empower affected households, enabling them to purchase essential items and plan their recuperation according to their own specific priorities.
This latest contribution significantly increases the bloc’s support, building upon a previous disbursement of 1.05 million Euros in September.
The initial funds were earmarked for critical services, including medical care, the provision of clean water, and sanitation facilities for the devastated areas.
