Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States (US) Rizwan Saeed Sheikh held meetings with the Congressman Jim Baird and Congresswoman Bethvanduyne in Washington DC.

Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh termed the meeting with Jim Baird as nice, says a press release received here on Wednesday from Washington DC.

The envoy said we exchanged views on enhancing interaction in trade, investment, defense, security, and counterterrorism. He said we agreed to continue engagement geared to diversifying our longstanding bilateral ties.

The envoy said that he also had a productive meeting with Congresswoman Bethvanduyne from Texas. He said we discussed the situation and prospects with regard to relations.

The envoy said that he assured the Congresswoman of Pakistan’s commitment to working with the new Congress towards a mutually rewarding bilateral relationship.
