On International Women’s Day, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, to emphasized the essential role of women in society, referring to them as the architects of the community, the pillars of homes, and crucial contributors to the future.

President Chaudhry in a statement issued from his office highlighted the significant roles women play from classrooms to boardrooms, on sports fields to front lines, shaping the nation’s bright future. He underscored that Islam places great importance on the respect and rights of women.

Empowering women is imperative for the progress and prosperity of any society, Chaudhry emphasized, pointing to the need to focus on women’s education, health, and economic independence for the advancement of individuals and future generations.

In his message, the AJK President further articulated that societal development is unattainable without equal rights for women. He called for a collective effort to create a safe environment for women, enabling them to stand alongside men and contribute effectively to national and social progress, ultimately fostering a better nation.
