Eight persons of Siyal family, including women and children, were kidnapped from the jurisdiction of Naparkot police station late last night.

Those kidnapped family members were Ambreen, Sarah, Ghazala, Aysha, Muneeb Ahmed, Faheem Ahmed, and others.

The kidnapped family members went to katcha area of Naparkot to settle a matrimonial matter. As they reached their destination, they were kidnapped.

Shikarpur police denied such kidnapping incident. However, such FIR has also been registered at Sukkur New Pind police station.

Further, police investigation into the matter was in process.

Meanwhile, a dumper-truck driver identified as Waheed Ahmed Soomro was kidnapped by armed men from Kandhkot section of Indus Highway near Faizoo Khanpur,

The drivers and supporters blocked the Khanpur section of Indus Highway in protest against the kidnapping. The Sindh-Punjab road remained completely blocked during their protest demonstration.

They demanded early safe recovery of the kidnapped driver. Shikarpur police chased the culprits to recover the kidnapped driver, area police said.

Further, police investigation into the matter was in process.
