Efforts are underway to reactivate Parachinar Airport, with a joint team from the Pakistan Airports Authority and PIA recently completing a visit to the airport.
The visit was conducted to assess the possibilities and measures for restoring commercial and relief flights at the airport.
The Joint Board of Officers conducted a detailed review of the airport’s infrastructure, technical aspects, and facilities.
The team inspected the terminal building, runway, fire garages, PAA residences, generator room, and other operational facilities.
Following the inspection, team members met with the Deputy Commissioner of Parachinar.
During the meeting, there was a detailed discussion regarding the restoration of operations at the airport.
Previously, an eight-member committee comprising PAA and PIA members was formed on the instructions of the Ministry of Defense.
