ISLAMABAD, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will start receiving nomination papers from tomorrow (Wednesday) till Friday for general elections to be held on 8th February next year.

According to the Election Commission’s notification, the ECP will publish the list of candidates on December 23 and start scrutiny process from December 24 to 30.

Appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers can be filed by January 3, which will be decided by Appellate Tribunals till January 10.

The revised list of candidates will be displayed on January 11 and candidates can withdraw their papers till January 12. The Election Commission will allot election symbols to parties on January 13, while polling to be held on February 8.
