This money generated from drug trafficking is used for the training of terrorists. Al-Qaeda and TTP are the biggest beneficiaries of drug proceeds.

Opium cultivation increased by thirty two percent after the Afghan Taliban took over in 2021, making Afghanistan the world’s third largest producer of illegal opium.
