Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho instructed that stringent legal actions against criminal elements be ensured.

He presided over a high-level meeting at the Karachi Police here today, according to the Karachi police spokesperson. The meeting was attended by DIG Investigation, DIG CIA, Zonal DIGs, District SSPs, and SPs Investigation.

The meeting extensively discussed citizen protection, eradication of street crime, prevention of traffic accidents, and security arrangements.

Participants also deliberated on actions against heavy vehicles, mandatory use of helmets, and effective enforcement of laws.

During the meeting, the Additional IG emphasized increasing police patrolling and enhancing the security of sensitive locations.

The meeting also discussed security arrangements for the National Games, Squash Championship, Polio Drive, and PSL matches. The Additional IG stated that all available resources should be utilized for the protection of citizens and to restore public confidence.
