ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Friday said dialogue among the political forces is essential to reduce confrontation and all issues should be resolved by evolving a consensus.

In an interview with a private television channel, he said the deal with International Monetary Fund (IMF) has paved way for funding from other international financial institutions and friendly countries. The President said the consistency of the policies is essential for the economic stability.

Dr Arif Alvi said all the institutions including the National Disaster Management Authority and provincial disaster management authorities have been playing a positive role for relief and rehabilitation of the flood-stricken people.
