Islamabad: The 11th death anniversary of renowned broadcaster, poet, intellectual, and television actor Asif Ghauri was observed today. Born in 1954 in Chaman, Balochistan, Asif Ghauri began his broadcasting career as an announcer at Radio Pakistan Quetta. He later joined the state broadcaster as a programme producer.According to Radio Pakistan, in addition to his broadcasting career, Asif Ghauri acted in more than 200 television dramas and made notable contributions to poetry. His work earned him widespread recognition in Pakistan's media and literary landscape. Asif Ghauri passed away on this day in 2015.
