The Collectorate of Customs Balochistan on Saturday claimed to have seized a huge quantity of betel nuts, pan parak and ghutka.
According to the spokesman for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan, a Sherani Manikhuwa field enforcement unit team seized a huge quantity of non-custom-paid-goods, including 46,000 kilograms of betel nuts, 1750 packets of pan parak, and ghutka, hidden in three trucks in the garb of coal in an operation conducted in a hotel at Zhob-Sherani highway of district Sherani.
The value of the seized goods was reported to be Rs430 million. Three trucks used for smuggling goods were taken into custody, however, drivers of the trucks managed to escape. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector Najeeb Nur in compliance with the directives of Chief Collector Customs Balochistan, Yaqoob Maku.
