Customs Balochistan claims to foil bid to smuggle foreign gears worth millions

RAKNI: Field Enforcement Unit, Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have foiled the bid to smuggle foreign gears worth millions of rupees in an operation conducted in Rakni along Balochistan-Punjab border on Sunday.

According to a statement issued by Dr. Atta Bareach, Spokesperson for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan, foreign goods, including Cigerate papers, hazardous Chinese salt, one non-custom-paid Yamaha motorcycle, were recovered from a truck by the Field Enforcement Unit of Customs, Balochistan in an operation conducted in Rakni area of Balochistan province along Balochistan-Punjab border.

Truck used for smuggling was also taken into custody. Value of seized goods, along with truck, was reported to be Rs. Two (02) crore. Operation was conducted by the staff of Collectorate of Customs Balochistan under supervision of Assistant Collector, Asad Saleem, Incharge Check Post, Zaman Mazari in compliance with the directives of higher authorities of Collectorate of Customs, Balochistan.
