CTD arrests alleged terrorist from Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Thursday arrested an alleged terrorist Muhammad Akmal from Rawalpindi.

The CTD spokesperson stated that huge amounts of explosives, four detonators and safety fuses were recovered from the possession of held accused. It was also stated that the alleged perpetrator Akmal was wanted in the Civil Lines Rawalpindi Suicide Bombing back in 2009 in which 36 people were killed.

The arrested culprit admitted his involvement in the 2009 suicide bombing case. It was also disclosed that two of his facilitators and fellows are rotting in prison after detention from the Military Court.
