GWADAR: Niaz Rana, Chief Secretary, Balochistan has said that provision of pure drinking water to Gwadar be ensured immediately.

These views were expressed by him while presiding over a high level meeting held here on Sunday. The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Mekran Division, Chairman, Gwadar Port, Director General, Gwadar Development Authority, Deputy Commissioner, Gwadar, authorities of Public Health Engineering Department and others.

The meeting deliberated upon the crises of pure drinking water in Gwadar and other issues. Issuing directives for releasing funds to cope up with the crises of water in Gwadar, Rana directed the concerned authorities to ensure providing water to Gwadar immediately.

Directions were also issued to the concerned authorities to provide two lac gallons water to Gwadar from Gwadar Port Water Plant on daily basis. The Chief Secretary Balochistan also issued directives to the concerned authorities to release funds in order to cope up with the crises of water in Gwadar.
