President, Quetta Bar Association, Qari Rehmatullah on Thursday said the issue pertaining to the extension in the service of judges should be addressed on merit.

These views were expressed by him while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club with other office bearers of Quetta Bar Association. Condemning baton charge at legal fraternity in Lahore, he said instead of addressing the issue through negotiations and table talk, Lahore police resorted to using force against legal fraternity.

Qari stated that issues of Lahore’s lawyers were the issues of all lawyers of the country. He said proceedings of courts could be boycotted for a complete year. He said that Quetta Bar Association was standing everywhere with legal fraternity of the country, adding that the unpleasant incident of Lahore provoked legal fraternity of the country.
