Mirpur: A court in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday awarded a three-time death penalty to the rapist who murdered 13-year-old girl Kanwal Matloob after sexually assaulting her.

Moeen Bashir aka Sahbo was awarded death sentence three times by the AJK Additional Sessions Court. The court also imposed a six million rupees fine on the convict.

Kanwal Matloob, a 13-year-old girl from Azad Kashmir, was found dead after she was abducted from her hometown of Kathar, Dadyal Tehsil of Mirpur. Kanwal disappeared after she got out to get some groceries and later her body was found dumped in a garbage disposal site in a forest.
