Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has said the country’s economy is witnessing a turnaround due to the difficult decisions taken by the government.

Addressing an event here in Islamabad on Thursday, he mentioned that inflation has decreased to a single digit and exports have increased by fourteen percent. He also highlighted the rapid growth of IT exports.

The Minister noted that friendly countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar and Azerbaijan, have identified a twenty-nine billion dollar portfolio investment opportunity in Pakistan.
