FAISALABAD:Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar decided on Friday to monitor the health of police officers on an annual basis. On the direction of the Punjab IG, there will be the annual screening of the police officers. In this regard, the police chiefs of all the districts had been sent letters. The letter stated, “The health coordinators will be deployed in all the district offices of the police. The health coordinators will be provided with all facilities, including a separate office and assistant staff.
The police chiefs of different districts had been directed to meet the medical superintendents (MS) of the public hospitals. Once the process of the screening will be done, the complete data of the police officers will be submitted to Lahore’s Central Police Office.
