KARACHI:The Punjab government has decided in principle to hand over control of historical buildings to Walled City of Lahore Authority.
The decision was taken at a meeting on Thursday chaired by Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. On this occasion, the chief minister said Punjab’s historical buildings are part of the cultural heritage which will be restored to their original shape.
Mohsin Naqvi said Punjab’s culture has unlimited appeal which covers many centuries. The chief minister also ordered to remove encroachments around historical structures in Lahore, Gujranwala and other cities.
