Continental Air Dominates as Dry Weather Persists Across the Country

The country’s weather department has forecasted predominantly dry conditions across the nation, with a continuation of hot temperatures in the plains.

This pattern is attributed to the prevailing continental air, which is expected to maintain these conditions throughout the Eid holidays.

Over the past 24 hours, rain-wind and thunderstorms were recorded in Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the rest of the country experienced dry weather. Notable rainfall measurements included 5 mm in both Bagrote and Upper Dir, 4 mm in Pattan, and 1 mm in Drosh.

Looking ahead to Sunday, dry weather is anticipated in Islamabad and its surroundings, with gusty winds likely in the afternoon.

In Balochistan, most districts will experience dry conditions, with southern areas facing heat during the day.

Punjab will also see mainly dry weather accompanied by gusty winds, particularly in the plains.

Sindh is expected to endure hot and dry weather with gusty winds, as will most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, though isolated areas like Chitral may witness rain-wind and thunderstorms.

Gilgit Baltistan can anticipate partly cloudy weather with similar isolated storm activity, while Kashmir will remain dry.

Yesterday, the highest recorded temperatures were in Mithi at 37°C, Chhor at 36°C, and Sibi at 35°C. As the dry spell continues, citizens are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against the heat.
