Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said the construction of a safe and high quality motorway from Karachi to Sukkur is a top priority of the government.

Chairing a meeting of the National Highway Authority (NHA) here in Islamabad on Monday, he said roads from Karachi to Quetta and Mansehra to Babusar Top should also be constructed immediately.

The Minister said the main target of our road network should be the Central Asian countries. He said trucks with loads exceeding the prescribed weight will not be allowed on any highway of National Highway Authority.

He directed to ensure M-Tag on all the motorways. He said there should be a third party evaluation of various projects from multinational companies.
