The Congress party has raised concerns about BJP interference in the Haryana assembly elections, alleging pressure on the administration. This follows a delay in updating trends on the Election Commission of India (ECI) website.

According to a Kashmir Media Service report on Tuesday, in a statement on X, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh expressed, “Similar to the Lok Sabha elections, we’re witnessing a slowdown in uploading up-to-date trends on the ECI website in Haryana.” Ramesh further asked, “Is the BJP trying to build pressure on the administration by sharing outdated and misleading trends?”

According to the latest trends from the Election Commission, the BJP is currently leading in 49 seats, while the Congress is ahead in 35. To secure a majority in the 90-member assembly, a party needs to win at least 46 seats.
