The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Saturday that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very cold and cloudy conditions are likely in upper regions. Fog in patches may occur during the night in the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.
During the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, with very cold conditions reported in hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog persisted in some parts of Punjab.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded on Saturday included Leh at -13°C, Skardu at -11°C, and Gupis at -9°C. Other low temperatures were noted in Gilgit and Dir at -8°C, Astore at -7°C, and Kalat and Bagrote at -6°C. Quetta, Ziarat, and Chitral also recorded -6°C.
