QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, has directed all divisional commissioners to complete arrangements to face any untoward situation in their respective divisions in view of the weather.

In a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Saturday, he directed the concerned authorities to take steps for draining out rain water from Quetta city besides adopting measures for removing snow from highways and roads in Ziarat, Kan Mehterzai, Kozaktop and retrieving people stranded in Mekran Coastal Highway and Sami Kor Turbat areas of the province.

Directing the authorities of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and Local Government Department to immediately start rescue operations in the areas affected by the recent rains, he said that restoration of the means of communication and municipal services be ensured.
