Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz today directed officials to design an effective sewerage system for streets in Lahore.
Chairing a high-level session of the local government, she received updates on the progress of the drainage and sewerage systems as well as street development initiatives.
The session also saw a review of advancements in street lighting, park development, and horticulture in suburban areas. She emphasized equitable development across Lahore, stressing that no area should be left behind. She underscored the need for comprehensive street paving and a sustainable drainage system.
Furthermore, Maryam instructed relevant departments, including WASA and LWMC, to collaborate closely and operate in a disciplined manner.
She asserted that public inconvenience due to poor drainage and road conditions would not be tolerated, urging all departments to prioritize resolving such issues promptly.
