Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz today arrived in Beijing for an eight-day official visit.
According to a statement issued from the Punjab CM spokesman, she was warmly welcomed at the Beijing airport by senior officials from the Communist Party of China (CPC), including Lin Tao, who led the high-level delegation.
Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi and his wife were also present to greet the chief minister.
A high-level delegation of the Communist Party of China called on CM Punjab. The head of the Chinese delegation, Lin Tao thanked CM Maryam and her delegation upon their arrival and welcomed them from the bottom of his heart.
On the occasion, Maryam emphasized the importance of strengthening economic and financial cooperation between Pakistan and China, particularly focusing on Punjab’s development.
‘We are committed to taking Punjab to greater economic heights with China’s cooperation,’ she said, thanking the people of China for their support. The official engagements of Maryam’s delegation will begin tomorrow, with visits planned to hospitals, schools, and other institutions across China.
