LAHORE: A high-level meeting, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Sunday reviewed the programme for providing quality health facilities to the people of the province.
In the meeting, the facilities available in the hospitals of Punjab were also reviewed. The participants of the meeting offered recommendations to improve the treatment facilities and services at the public hospitals. The chief minister directed to further improve the healthcare facilities. “The patients should get quality treatment facilities at public hospitals,” he said.
“Matters related to the provision of treatment and other necessary facilities should be improved soon,” he added. “Every poor patient has the right to free treatment. The financial condition of the poor patients will be reviewed for treatment,” he stated.
“The Punjab government will continue striving to improve the health system,” he pledged. Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Dr Javed Akram and officers concerned attended the meeting.
