QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has said that Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, Quetta, which was a mega project, needed further improvement, therefore, issues of the institute be forwarded to Chief Minister’s Secretariat in the shape of a summary for redressal, so that time could not be wasted.
These views were expressed by him while chairing the meeting of the “Board of Governors of Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology here Tuesday. Bizenjo said that the incumbent provincial government had attached priority to health sector, adding that government wanted to provide healthcare facilities to the people at their threshold.
Meeting decided to table the Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, Quetta’s Act before Balochistan Provincial Assembly, change the nomenclature of 748 posts, constitute a committee for reconstituting Board of Governors of Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, Quetta, appointment of doctors on contract basis, permission to doctors to practice house job and grant special allowance to the doctors of specialized cadres.
Chief Executive Officer, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, Major General Tufail Ahmed, while giving briefing to the participants of meeting, said that Rs. 911.40 million had been released during the year 2022-2023 as supplementary grant for the Institute.
Meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Chief Executive Officer, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, Quetta, Major General Tufail Ahmed, GOC 41 Division, Major General Kashif, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Balochistan, Imran Gichki, Secretary, Health Department, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, Secretary, Services and General Administration Department, Babar Khan, Secretary, Finance Department, Qambar Dashti, Secretary, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Head of Cardiology Department, Dr. Fazal-ur-Rehman and others.
