Clifton road renamed as Shahrah-e-Imam Khomeini

ISLAMABAD:Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Friday that Pakistan had deep historical and cultural relations with the neighboring country Iran, which had increased with the passage of time.

This he said at a ceremony to rename the Old Clifton road as Shahrah-e-Imam Khomeini, along with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Hossein Amir Abdullahian. The officials of the Iranian Consulate General were also present. The Old Clifton road was decorated with the flags of Iran and Pakistan on the occasion of the inauguration.

Wahab thanked the Iranian Foreign Minister for participating in the opening ceremony and said in the future, there would be more expansion and warmth in the relations between the two countries. He said that the Clifton Garden located on Old Clifton had also been attributed to Hazrat Salman Farsi.
