In a move that has raised concerns about the erosion of civil rights and liberties, the Narendra Modiled Indian regime has imposed strict restrictions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in its summar capital Srinagar.

According to a Kashmir Media Service report on Tuesday, District Magistrate Srinagar, Dr. Bilal MohiUdDin Bhat, issued prohibitory orders, effective from September 23 to September 25, 6:00 pm.

The restrictions have been intensified during the ongoing sham assembly elections in the territory. Authorities have banned assemblies, processions, and rallies. People are also barred from convening, attending, or addressing public meetings or processions related to elections and other activities.

This development is the latest in a series of measures that have raised questions about the BJP regime’s commitment to democratic values and human rights in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Similar restrictions have been imposed previously, sparking concerns about the stifling of dissenting voices and the erosion of fundamental rights.
